TELL Yo MAMA’s Lucas Holliday Prepares to Hit the Stage with Maxwell

Lucas Holliday of Lansing describes coming by this whirlwind of instant fame as a gift given "by God Himself!"  After his customer, Nakia, at Dollar General on MLK posted a video of him singing a song by Maxwell at the cash register last week, he's been featured in media across the country, including Huffington Post, and even live on ABC's Good Morning America, where Maxwell, via video, invited Holliday to perform live on stage at his Detroit concert.  That concert is tonight.

Holliday can usually be found singing with the Lansing band, TELL Yo MAMA.  The band just released its debut CD last weekend.

On Thursday, he hit a local barber shop to get cleaned up before hitting the big stage with Maxwell.

Mary J. Blige and Maxwell (and Lucas Holliday) are live at The Palace of Auburn Hills tonight beginning at 7pm.
