Slow down! This week is National Work Zone Awareness Week. It's an effort to remind drivers to slow down in construction zones so workers can go home to their families.

This week is also the 21st annual National Work Zone Awareness Week and the theme this year is "Drive Safe. Work Safe. Save Lives."

This is part of a 13.3 million dollar state construction project.

Your morning & evening commute may have to look a little different now.

After two seasons of closures and repairs near Michigan Avenue, Harrison Road now gets closed for another month to install bike lanes.

Here's where they are.

Pennsylvania Ave in Lansing and the Cooper Street bridge in Jackson.

This time, it's the other side of the street. Pennsylvania Ave - Jolly to Cavanaugh SOUTHBOUND will be closed.

Closed to through traffic in the Northbound direction beginning Monday, June 4th and is expected to last approximately 4 weeks.

Construction season gets an early head start this weekend! An 11 mile stretch of I-96 between M-52 and M-59 is set for resurfacing. Weather permitting.
