Where to Watch the Stranger Things Finale in Lansing
If you're a Stranger Things fan, you're already preparing yourself to say goodbye to the show and Hawkins in the most extra way possible.
Netflix isn't just quietly dropping the two-hour series finale for Season 5 on your couch. At the exact same time that it will be streaming, Stranger Things 5: The Finale will be available in movie theaters across the U.S. and Canada, including two different locations here in Lansing.
The rollout is a holiday saga. Volume 1 (Episodes 1–4) landed November 26, Volume 2 (Episodes 5–7) hits on Christmas Day, and then the big one, the feature-length finale, will be here on New Year’s Eve. Limited screenings will start Wednesday, December 31 at 8 p.m. Michigan time and only run two nights, December 31 and January 1.
That's it. You only have two chances to go see this in theaters.
In the Lansing area, you've got two options if you want to scream into the Upside Down with a crowd instead of in your living room.
- Celebration Cinema Lansing on Edgewood (Celebration)
- NCG Eastwood Cinemas at Eastwood Towne Center (NCG Movies)
Tickets are on sale, but this is a limited-time event, so you can assume they will disappear very fast. Check each theater's site or app for showtimes and ticket rules before you head out to watch the feature, too.
You could stay at home, curled up on the couch in your comfiest sweatpants, or just take all of that to the theater to watch this on the big screen and bring in the end of an era.
One last trip to Hawkins. One last showdown with Vecna. And one last round of arguing about those van theories before the show heads on its way.
