Statewide Tornado Drill on Thursday

If you hear the tornado siren on Thursday, be advised, this is just a test.

A statewide tornado drill will be issued by emergency management officials and state police on Thursday April 16th at 2pm.

This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Michigan and all state facilities and organizations are expected to participate in the drill. Businesses and schools are also encouraged to participate.

Spring frequently brings tornado and other severe weather emergencies to Michigan. Fortunately, for the next several days, we've got mainly sunny skies with high temperatures hovering in the mid-60s to near 70.
