The beloved Iraqi restaurant took to their social media on Sunday morning (09/22) to share the sad announcement that they’d be closing their doors for good.

East Lansing Restaurant Set To Close Their Doors

For years, Sparty Kabob has been serving up authentic, mouthwatering dishes that made you feel like you stumbled upon a hidden gem.

Whether it was the perfectly grilled kebabs or that unforgettable shawarma, it’s safe to say this spot earned a soft spot in the hearts (and stomachs) of so many locals.

Sparty’s Kabob opened up back in July 2020 and quickly became a hit with the Lansing crowd. They proudly called themselves "Greater Lansing’s first Iraqi Middle Eastern restaurant," and the reviews definitely backed that up.

But now, after a solid run, they’ve decided not to renew their lease, and sadly, they'll be closing up shop for good on Sept. 30.

"We want to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the community of the Greater Lansing Area and the community of MSU as you have all been a vital part of our story and we will cherish the lessons from this journey." Sparty Kabob on Facebook.
Sparty Kabob hopped on Facebook to give a heartfelt shoutout to the East Lansing community, thanking everyone for an incredible four years of support. Even though they're closing up shop at the end of the month, they’re still welcoming customers to stop by and grab a bite before it’s all over.
They’re even throwing in some special deals for those who come through until September 30th. It’s their way of saying thanks and making sure everyone can enjoy one last meal before they say goodbye. If you've been a fan, now’s the time to show some love!
