Spartan Stadium is going to get a new look for the 2017 season, its going to have permanent lights for night games.

The University Board has voted to build the permanent lights on the 93 year old stadium. MSU has had night games in the past because the Big Ten or Television partners paid for temporary lighting but after this season they won't get the temporary lighting and must provide their own.

The project is going to cost between $2.2 - 2.5 million dollars. In the 12 night games that MSU has had under current coach Mark Dantonio they are 9-3, so maybe having more night games will only help the team.
