The Selena Gomez housecleaning continues. After firing her mother Mandy Teefey and her stepdad Brian Teefey as her managers and purging her Instagram feed by unfollowing a host of famous friends, Gomez has made a huge professional move. The singer and actress has hired a new manager. What lucky music manager got this coveted gig?

Oh, just Katy Perry's manager, Bradford Cobb, who also manages Adam Lambert.

It was said that Gomez was looking for a manager stocked with A-list clients and a proven track record to help guide her career to the next level and phase. She has graduated from teen Disney fare and while she has made some bold choices, like 'Spring Breakers,' her next moves are critical for her future and the long term.

Cobb and his firm Direct Management Group are considered the architects of Perry's stratospheric success.

Us Weekly confirmed that Sel has brought Cobb on board as her manager. Word is she has also parted with Hollywood Records, despite 'Stars Dance,' her latest album, landing at No. 1 with plenty of hit singles behind it.

Congrats to Gomez on her new management team. We hope they have a long and fruitful partnership.

Additionally, Gomez was spotted hanging out with newly-single actor Orlando Bloom over the weekend. They were seen outside a Chelsea Handler gig in L.A. on Saturday, April 26. Bloom apparently bounced when the paps showed up, but TMZ snapped and shared a pic of the pair. It looks pretty innocent to us. Can't two actors say "Hello" and it not be a "thing?"
