Robin Williams Reportedly Committed Suicide by Hanging, Didn’t Leave Note

More sad news out of Hollywood, as details surrounding Robin Williams' tragic death on Aug. 11 are slowly surfacing.

According to TMZ, insiders confirmed the Oscar-winning actor did take his own life, as originally reported when news broke of his passing. Additionally, sources report that the comedian hanged himself in the main part of his San Francisco Bay Area home. Insiders also add it appears the comedian did not leave a suicide note.

TMZ reports that law enforcement will be discussing more details publicly today (Aug. 12) at 11AM PT.

As news of Williams' death broke, celebrities spoke out to honor the late actor. Among the most touching sentiments were those from his 'Mrs. Doubtfire' cast members. Fans also flocked to the iconic bench from 'Good Will Hunting' to memorialize one of the actor's memorable scenes.

Williams' daughter Zelda also took to Twitter to honor her late father, tweeting an emotional message and a passage from 'The Little Prince.'
