Road Closures, Damage, Power Outages Reported Due to Wind

A tractor-trailer was flipped onto its side south of Fowler.  Another tractor-trailer was flipped north of Owosso.  Old 27 was closed between Lansing in DeWitt due to a large tree that fell in the road.  The corner of Jordan and Martin Roads was blocked by a large tree in Woodland, south of Lake Odessa.  Clark at Upton was down to one lane due to a fire caused by a downed wire, Bath Township Police Department reports.

Structure damage has been reported throughout the area and power outages have been reported in Lansing.  Consumers Energy's outage map shows outages across the state.

A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 7pm throughout mid-Michigan.  Gusts of up to 55 miles per hour will likely bring more damage, outages and inconveniences.  Get more weather information on our WEATHER page.
