Recall: Volkswagen Over 600k Cars

There is a massive recall going into the weekend this time with Volkswagen as they are recalling over 600,000 cars. According to WILX, Volkswagen is recalling about 679,000 cars in the US alone to fix an issue where the cars roll away unexpectedly. So if you have one and/or live on a hill then you need to get this checked out. The issue is that the car's shift lever switch is allowing cars to have their keys removed even if the car isn't in park which can allow roll away cars.  The recall will start October 11th and dealers know of the issue and can fix the circuit board issue.

So here are all of the VW that this recall covers; certain 2011 through 2018 Jettas; 2015 through 2019 GTIs; 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 Golfs; 2012 through 2019 Beetles and Beetle Convertibles; and 2017 through 2019 Golf SportWagens.
