Is it just me, or do prices on everyday regular items seem like they're at an all time high recently? Average, everyday objects that we used to buy regularly, seem to just be breaking the bank. I'm not alone, right?

Well, if you shop here in thestate of Michigan, you may want to take note of this, as the prices of the items you shop for at stores like Meijer and Walmart, may increase in their prices.

ALERT: These Items Are About To Become More Expensive in Michigan

We've received a lot of warnings, that regular items at the stores, will start rising in prices. This is partly due to some of the tariffs put on foreign countries like China, Canada as well as Mexico.

The Chief Financial Office of Walmart, John David Rainey, just announced that consumers should start seeing an increase on prices of everyday objects in the stores. By the end of May or even June, you'll see a lot of prices increase on the shelves. With things becoming harder to import, stores will have to increase prices to actually continue to make money.

A lot of the merchandise that stores like Walmart get in, do come from domestically sourced materials, however, things like electronics, toys as well as other grocery items, don't actually come domestically.

While Meijer, hasn't made any proper statement regarding price hikes, consumers have noted that a lot of things on the shelves have increased in prices.

A survey released by the Michigan Retailers Association, found that many consumers saw an increase at retailers amid some of the tariffs currently in place. A 16.7% increase so far this year here in Michigan
