If you’ve recently picked up Kodiak Buttermilk & Vanilla Power Waffles, there’s a recall you should know about. Specifically, it’s the 40-count boxes that are affected—so, check those boxes in your freezer for the UPC code 705599019203.

These waffles have a sell-by date of January 10, 2026, a lot code of 24193-WL4, and a time stamp between 12:00 and 23:00.
The issue at hand?
It seems the waffle mix might have been contaminated with a soft plastic film. While the company is being upfront about this potential problem, they’re also reassuring consumers that no injuries or illnesses have been reported so far. Still, better safe than sorry, right?
These particular waffles were sold at Costco locations throughout the Midwest between July 15, 2024, and August 25, 2024. So, if you picked up a box during that time, it’s time to double-check and make sure you’re not holding onto any of these potentially contaminated products.
