Pier 1 Imports To Close More Stores

Another retail chain has announced that they will be closing some of their stores. Officials with Pier 1 Imports announced this week that they are planning to close up to 450 stores this year--which is nearly half of their 942 stores located throughout the United States. According to a report from USA Today, the home imports chain already closed around 150 stores back in April of 2019.

No official list of specific Pier 1 Imports locations that will be closing has been released yet. So there's no word yet on what will be happening to the two Pier 1 Imports locations in the Lansing area. There's a Pier 1 Imports store currently located in the Eastwood Towne Center in Lansing and there's also a Pier 1 Imports store located in the Marketplace at Delta Township.
