Outdoor Roller Rink Opens in Detroit
If you picked up roller skating during the pandemic, it's time to lace up those skates and hit the streets!
Bedrock Detroit is transforming the Monroe Street Midway into an outdoor recreation area. Not only will it be an outdoor roller rink, but it will feature new basketball courts, fitness classes, artwork, food trucks, and local DJs.
Creating the outdoor roller rink
Bedrock is partnering with Southwest Detroit's RollerCade for the outdoor roller rink. RollerCade has been open since 1955 and is the oldest Black-owned roller rink in the city.
Rollout Detroit will change what it means to roller skate in the City of Detroit. This truly unique and creative roller rink will thrill skaters of every skill level.
