There’s an Outstanding Way to Support Veterans This Saturday
I am grateful for the freedom I enjoy as an American. Freedom comes at a cost, I support the men and woment that have written a blank check to protect us. That's why it's important to me to support One of Many Veterans Motorcycle Club in Lansing.
One of Many Veterans is a 501c3, non profit group of Veterans, whose purpose is to help other Veterans in their time of need. All year One of Many Veterans works hard to raise money to help fellow Veterans with all kinds of things including utilities, medical bills and vehicles, just to name a few throughout the year.
In 2018, I was working for another radio group in Lansing. I had befriended One of Many and helped promote events and their mission while I was on the air. A trusting friendship was forged. I used to do my show live once per week at Classic Pub in North Lansing. The good people in One of Many asked me if they could come to Classic Pub to "gift" a Veteran something that their comarade was in desperate need of. Of course I said yes. When it came time to present the Veteran in need with their gift to him, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. One of Many had provided a vehicle to the Veteran that needed assistance. I was blown away by the emotions in the room, within One of Many and the impact it made on me.
This is how I look at One of Many Veterans' Motorcycle Club, a group of men and women that never gave up on their brothers and sisters while serving America and certainly haven't turned their backs on them now that they are retired or in some cases still active.
This Saturday, November 5, 2022 is the 8th Annual Veterans' Day Party. So far they have received nearly $16,000 in donated items that will be up for bid during the party. Come out to the event. Learn more about One of Many and shake some hands and thank the brave men and women that have been and are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for you and your family. Take a look at the pictures, we can make an impact. The hugs you see are brotherhood and gratitude. I am emceeing the party on Saturday and hope to see YOU there.
