Moving the Detroit Auto Show to summer seemed like a good idea, but reading the news out of Detroit this week, it's turned out to be bad for many of the surrounding area businesses dependent on the crowds that made it Cobo Arena, or whatever it's called now.

While it's not as big or robust as the NAIAS show, the Grand Rapids Auto Show is certainly a shorter drive, smaller crowds, and with a nice surrounding downtown area to grab some food and a pop.

Here's a taste of some of what is going to be on display:

The Million Dollar Motorway will have 18 vehicles on display:

West Michigan auto supplier Gentex makes its first appearance in the M$M with a 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera (valued at $370,000). Other vehicles will include Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Rolls Royce and three McLarens! (Every car in this display is valued at between $100,000 and $550,000(with an accumulative value of$4.5million). - GRAS release

Among the "oh, wow" vehicles:
2019 BMW M5 PDX Wide body Showcar –the first vehicle in North American being UNVEILED at the show
2016 Camaro SS Wide body (featured at the SEMA Show and CSR2 racing video game featured car)
2019 Lamborghini Huracon Performante Spyder (featuring full 1016 Industries Forged Carbon Aerodynamic Program and more –the first one in Michigan)

For the truck fans:
2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport (named North American Truck of the Year)
