ANOTHER "National Whatever" Day? Well yeah. But who DOESN'T like some kind of pie? Why do we even have a National Pie Day?

It began in the 1970's thanks to Charlie Papazian of Boulder, Colorado who decided to declare his birthday a holiday...so he named his natal day - January 23 - as "National Pie Day." And since 1986, the American Pie Council sponsors it.

Was it Charlie's ego that was the impetus for National Pie Day?
His love for pie?
His love for himself?
His desire for notoriety?
His boredom?
His fun-loving, wacky side?

Well, who cares...whatever reason, I LOVE PIE and I'm havin' some.
