Three tornadoes touched down in southwestern Michigan, the National Weather Service has confirmed.  WILX-TV reports the twisters destroyed or damaged numerous homes on Tuesday February 28th, but fortunately, despite the 105-110 mph winds, there were no injuries.

The three EF-1 tornadoes -- a bit unusual for February -- came just days after beloved actor, Bill Paxton's unexpected death.

Paxton, who is known by many for his role in the movie Twister, passed away due to complications from surgery on February 25th.  He was just 61.
