A Moana-themed adventured called "Journey of Water" has been revealed by Disney as an upcoming attraction for Walt Disney World's Epcot Center. Based on the 2016 animated adventure of the titular teenager tasked by the waves to redeem the heart of Te Fiti, the new installation is just one of many being revealed this weekend during the D23 Expo along with the Disney Parks "Imagining Tomorrow, Today" pavilion.

The new Moana journey is part of Walt Disney World Resort's big plans for a multi-year transformation of Epcot. Watch a video tour of the D23 Expo down toward the bottom of this post.

"The reinvention of Epcot will include Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana," the latest Disney Parks Blog announced Thursday (Aug. 22). "This first-ever experience based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios hit film, Moana, will let guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting."

But that's not all that's planned for Disney Parks. In fact, Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris have revealed an in-the-works attraction for immersive, superhero-themed lands to be known as the "Avengers Campus." There, guests "will become part of an interconnected, global story that spans from California to Paris to Hong Kong with the Avengers recruiting new extraordinary people to join them."

Surely additional details will be revealed the sixth D23 Expo, which runs Aug 23–25 at California's Anaheim Convention Center. Watch the "D23 Expo: Disney Parks Pavilion Tour" video below.
