The woman, a student at Eastern Michigan, says the "hickeys" keep would be suitors away, but commenters say it shouldn't come to this.

A TikToker who goes by the name @blackmarketbagelsociety0 says she has a lot of guys approach her at the gym and attempt to "help her with her form", when all they really want is a chance to hit on her.

The woman says since she's started putting fake hickeys on her neck by smearing brown eyeshadow along with other make up, the unwanted attention has ceased.

BUT -- it should never come to this says commenters to her video, which was posted six days ago.

“It’s weird that the same people who notice the hickeys are the same people who don’t notice that you wear headphones and don’t want/need their ‘help’,” one commenter wrote.

Another commented, "Men will literally respect imaginary men more than real living women." Implying that the hickey "marked" her as belonging to someone, and that stopped the unsolicited remarks, not just being polite.

And another cracked: "1. That’s hella creative, 2. I absolutely with all my heart hate that you had to go to that length to get men to not give unsolicited advice."

CAUTION: Video contains bad language.

As the father of three daughters, I've seen first hand the unwanted attention women receive while trying to simply knock out a quick workout, so I understand her plight.

I also come from the school of thought that gym time is private time for most people. I certainly don't want people annoying me while I'm working out, so I generally don't speak unless spoken to, and that seems like a good place to start, fellas, so knock it off.
