Starting on April 1st, 2025, the United States Postal Service, will update their standard for First-Class Mail, Periodicals, Marketing Mail, as well as Package Services. This new roll out follows their new "Delivering for America" plan, which is in an effort to not only enhance their services, but also keep the money flowing.

Most of the First-Class Mail, will remain unaffected at this point (75%), you can expect some mail to arrive faster than previously available (14%). You may see some slight delays following these changes as well, but the five-day delivery range will still be in place.

With the new changes coming their way, the USPS is expected to begin saving $36 billion in the next decade.

There have been some changes already initiated, like closing their Salem Township branch, which is causing residents to travel farther now for mail.

There may be some pay increases, but not by much on First-Class Forever stamps, which will go from .68 cents, to .73 cents.

There are concerns this may slow down mail services here in the state of Michigan.
