Roadtrip Across the Michigan Thumb, Part 1
Taking a roadtrip across Michigan's thumb is an enlightening journey. You'll come across towns you never knew existed, ghost towns, towns that have been taken off the map, and many abandoned structures that stand as a reminder of what this area of Michigan was once like.
The trip this time takes us from Caseville at Saginaw Bay, down Kinde Road, through Gott's Corner, the ghost town of Pinnebog, thru Kinde, and ends at Port Hope on Lake Huron.
There are plenty of old structures to see along the way: old schools, township halls, farmhouses, abandoned buildings, and more.
