Michigan State Settles and Will Pay Nassar Survivors
It was just announced earlier today (Wednesday 5/16) that Michigan State has settles with the over 300 Nassar Abuse Survivors and will pay them a multi-million dollar settlement. Manly Stewart Finaldi Law Firm and Michigan State Board have agreed on the $500 million settlement for the 332 survivors.
The terms of the settlement are: first that $425 million dollars will be paid to current claimants. Then the rest of the, $75 million dollars will be set aside in a trust fund to protect any future claimants alleging sexual abuse by Larry Nassar.
Another note of the settlement is that it will apply to those victims that were suing Michigan State and doesn't include USA Gymnastics, the USOC, Twistars, or anyone else or other party.
