Looks like someone had a noisy 4th of July in their neighborhood. Two Michigan lawmakers want to put more limits on fireworks.

According to the Lansing State Journal, State Reps. Sarah Anthony, from Lansing, and Kara Hope, from Holt, want to repeal the 2011 Michigan Fireworks Safety Act, which allowed the sale of bottle rockets and firecrackers and bigger stuff that shot up into the sky and went, "boom". If it's up to them they would love to see just the sparklers and smoke bombs and snakes next year.

While it's true that local governments can put limits on fireworks - those laws are tough to uphold when your cousin brings over a thousand dollars worth of mortar shells and rockets. And you have that nice clear driveway. Not that I know anybody who's had that happen.
