With 365 stores across 40 states, American Freight is a big brand for them. Liquidations have already begun as of November 5, both in-store and online.
If there’s a location nearby and you’ve been thinking about a new piece of furniture, now might be the time to jump in for some great discounts. Just remember, it’s all about clearing inventory, so once something’s gone, it’s not getting restocked.
While these sales might be a great offer for bargain hunters, it’s a tough situation for everyone else involved. American Freight has been a staple for budget-friendly furniture, and with every store closing, thousands of employees are going to be impacted.
Plus, it’s one more change to the retail landscape, and there’s something sad about seeing a familiar brand disappear.
If you see those “Going Out of Business” signs, it might be worth a look—but it’s also a reminder of just how much the retail world is changing, sometimes faster than we’d like.
