This Year’s Most Popular Halloween Costumes for Kids, Adults, and Pets

There are two types of people. Those who love getting dressed up for Halloween and go all out, and those who use minimal effort and could care less. I tend to be the latter, but there have been a few fun years. Whether you are dressing up for the Green Door or just to pass out candy at home, the right costume goes a long way.

Costumes.com posted the top Halloween costumes to buy this year. You can use this is a list of what not to wear as well. The cool thing is they include costumes so far for kids, adults, and pets. As a dog guy, it is important to include the pets. They are family.

When it comes to the adult side of things. It is the usual suspects in the top ten.  The top 10 for adults are:

1. Inflatable T-rex

2. Wonder Woman 1984

3. Buddy the Elf

4. The Dark Knight (Batman)

5. Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" (sexy or not so sexy.)

6. Captain Marvel

7. Rey from "The Force Awakens(why??)

8. Harley Quinn ( still?)

9. " Ride a Beer Buddy", where it looks like you're riding on a dude's shoulders

10.Elvis.

Kids costumes have come a long way since most of us were younger. Most kids probably don't go neighborhood to neighborhood with pillow cases either. Ahh the good old days. The top 10 for kids are:

1. Paw Patrol

2. Justice League

3. Dorothy

4. Darth Vader (the Force is strong with this one)

5. Harley Quinn

6. Inmate costumes (getting some little hellions a glimpse of the future)

7. Inflatable T-rex

8. Black Panther (Wakanda Forever!)

9. Foxy from "Five Nights at Freddy's"  (it's a video game)

10. Sonic the Hedgehog

Pet costumes haven't changed. I feel like we just dressed them up without their permission. They do look cute though. That being said, top costumes for pets range from Minions to Snow White to Superman.

Hocus Pocus is on the list for pets. I am shocked with the success of the sequel that more adults are not going that route.  Good luck with whatever you are going with.
