We all know the weather in Michigan can be very unpredictable which is why we have very versatile closets.

As Michiganders, we are lucky enough to experience all four seasons in all their glory. However, if you don't have a lot of closet or storage space, you might have a problem.

Earlier this week, the weather cooled right down and for some reason, and being as excited for fall as I am, I decided to swap out my summer clothes for my fall ones...and I know I'm not the only person who does that.

I love swapping out my clothes for the seasons, it signifies change and gives you even more to look forward to, though it did get me thinking about what a typical Michigan closet is like.

Does everyone here do what I do? Does everyone here have what some would call "too many sweaters"? Does everyone in Michigan have so many different kinds of jackets only to buy more because you "don't have one for [insert typical Michigan occurrence here]"

When it comes to our closets, we Michiganders have quite a few categories to consider. There's our summer clothes, our summer bonfire clothes, our outdoor activities clothes, our fall clothes, our fall transitioning to winter clothes, our winter winter clothes, all our coats, all our various shoe needs, I could go on longer but I'll spare you the reading.

Here are some pictures, instead, of the 12 items you most likely have in your closet as a person living right here in the great state of Michigan.
