Michigan does not count itself among the nation's top ten heaviest states, so says new research by Gallup.  The poll calculates BMI based on height and weight responses from nearly 200,000 respondents.

Mississippi moved into the #1 spot, surpassing West Virginia as the state with the highest rate of obesity.  While Michigan isn't among the fattest states, it also is not among the leanest.

Here are the Top 10 fattest states!

2. West Virginia (34.4%)
3. Delaware (34.4%)
4. Louisiana (32.7%)
5. Arkansas (32.2%)
6. South Carolina (31.4%)
7. Tennessee (31.2%)
8. Ohio (30.9%)
9. Kentucky (30.6%)
10. Oklahoma (30.5%)

2. Colorado (20.4%)
