
750 New Jobs Coming to Michigan Thanks to Major Expansions
Great news for the state of Michigan and those looking for jobs. Governor Whitmer just announced that nearly 750 new jobs are on the way to the state, after two major expansions.
TORC Robotics Expands in Ann Arbor
The company, TORC Robotics, is opening up a brand-new engineering and innovation center in Ann Arbor Township. TORC is a leader in the autonomous vehicle tech game and has invested $5.50 million into the site, while creating 500 new high-paying jobs. The average salaries for these jobs will start off at $177,000 a year, which is a lot of dough.

The state of Michigan i backing the project with $3 million in performance-based grants, part of a new strategy to attract next-gen tech to Michigan.
Pro Services Inc. Grows Skilled Trade Workforce
Over in Portage, Pro Services, Inc. is expanding their skilled trade operations. They are putting nearly $12.4 million in their growth plan to add 250 new jobs to the area. Their starting wages are about $28.07 an hour. They're getting a $1.25 million grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund.
Make It in Michigan: What It Means
Combined, that is a $18 million investment into the economy. This initiative is apart of Whitmer's "Make It in Michigan," which is looking to help bring good paying jobs, skilled trades, and other talents right here in the great lakes state.
