I Am Not Sure Michigan’s Favorite Condiment Is One
I was having a discussion about Thanksgiving. Turkey and gravy is the traditional thing, but I am not traditional. Hot take, I am not a big fan of gravy. I like my Thanksgiving or any other turkey with honey mustard. I know that is probably not normal. I am anything but. Honey mustard is condiment. This led me to wonder what is Michigan's favorite condiment.
It would have to be mayo right? People like mayo on everything. I mean you can rarely get a sandwich without it being slathered in the stuff. It is also the starting point for half a dozen other condiments. For Michigan, that's not it.
Surely it is Siracha. Hot sauce has been the trend for the last several years. I mean people put the ish on everything. Oops! That is another brand's slogan. Still though Siracha has to be the go to for Michigan. It isn't.
Every one has their condiment of choice. So does Michigan go ketchup, mustard, relish, barbeque sauce, or maybe some mixture? Not at all. There is a map that listed each state's favorite condiment. Some states had Nutella. One had Country Crock. Michigan goes with Bertolli Alfredo Sauce? Since when is a pasta sauce a condiment? Since when is Nutella or Country Crock for that matter? I mean, I suppose you could put those on fries or a sandwich. To me, it wouldn't feel right. Who am I to argue? Michigan, if Bertolli is your thing than do you. Go ahead and put that ish on everything. Oops. I did it again.
