It doesn't seem, however, that good air quality, is one of the things that we are amazing at, however, we shouldn't feel too bad. Ohio, also made the list of the worst state for air qualities too, with five counties too.

These 5 Michigan Counties are the Worst for Air Quality
The top 10 states that do have the worst air quality in the United States are, Illinois has 17 counties, and Wisconsin has 15.

California follows with 9 counties, while Iowa and Pennsylvania each have 6. Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Minnesota all have 5 counties each. Lastly, Missouri has 4 counties.

Lenawee County (#45) – Not Great, But Not the Worst

Allegan County (#66) – Agriculture is the Biggest Issue
- Farm-Related Pollution – Machinery, fertilizers, and livestock emissions impact air quality.
Washtenaw County (#67) – Traffic & Industry Drive Pollution
- Car Pollution – Over 8.6 million miles driven daily adds to ozone and PM2.5.
