The biggest movie of the year was clearly Top Gun: Maverick. As of now, there are not any plans for sequel that sends our hero into space. Tom Cruise himself, however, might be a different story.

Tom has always been known to do the majority of his own stunts. We are talking far more dangerous stuff than jumping on a couch or two. In Maverick, he did a lot of his own flying. In the Mission Impossible franchise, he has hung from planes, building, and mountains. The guy needs his adrenaline rush. He is also rich and powerful and has the means to get it. His latest stunt, might be his most dangerous. He is going where few have gone before. Literally.

Pre Pandemic, Tom Cruise was talking about making a movie in outer space. And from the sound of it, it finally looks like it might be happening. He is in talks with Universal to do a movie on the International Space Station. He would be on the actual station and could be the first civilian to ever do an actual space walk. Cool or terrifying, you decide. No word yet on the plot, but I am guessing he will play the role of the hero. It is what he does.

Tom might not film his space movie in Michigan, but there is a little piece of him here. One of Tom's closest resembling impersonators is from here in Michigan. No word on if he would ever go into space, but it did get us thinking. Would you go into space if you could? The cost is INSANE, but it would definitely be a once in a lifetime experience?
