Lorde ‘Royals’ Banned in San Francisco Until After the World Series

"And we'll never play 'Royals'..."

That's the song two San Francisco radio stations are singing since they've announced a ban on Lorde's smash 'Royals' until after the World Series that pits the San Francisco Giants against the Kansas City Royals.

Game 1 of the series begins at 8:07pm on Tuesday, October 21st.  Watch it live on FOX.

Lorde was inspired by a photo of Kansas City's George Brett from 1976 that appeared in a National Geographic magazine; the word "Royals" written across his chest.

Lorde fans need not fear.  In response to the San Fran ban, a Kansas City radio station promises to play "Royals" every hour from 7am to 7pm on Tuesday.
