The Detroit Lions put starting wide receiver Marvin Jones, Jr. (pictured) on season-ending injured reserve on Tuesday afternoon.

Marvin injured his ankle in the final minutes of last Sunday's 20-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.  His injury leaves Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola as their top wide receivers.

Jones was signed away from the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent four years ago.  He's caught 62 passes for almost 800 yards this season.

Marvin has one year left on his contract with the Lions.  He is slated to make $6.5 million in base salary next season.
