Halloween is less than a week away. In case you didn't want to let it sneak up on you. Back in the day, you had your costume figured out. You had your trick or treat posse ready for action. You convinced your parents to let you fill your first pillow case in Mason and then allow you to head to Okemos to fill a second. You had to be quick. You had to be efficient. Luckily, you were both.

Times have changed. The pillow cases stay on the bed and you have no idea what to be for Halloween. Whether it is a bar, house party, or you dress up to pass out candy, you need something. Hopefully, it is something inexpensive and not lame. Lauryn Snapp and the Pop Crush nights team put together a pretty good list here. We thought we would add a few more.

DIY can be creative and fun. A friend of mine is gym fanatic. He fond some jorts, a colorful t-shirt, and went as John Cena. Great costume, but no one could see him. See what I did there? "His catch phrase is, "You can't see me!"

Grab a toy axe, your favorite jeans, and a flannel. Add a few miscellaneous things and you are a lumber jack! Quick, easy, and a little warmer for those chilly Michigan Halloween nights.

You can always play around with make up and get creative. I just know that time can be an issue. Last minute things pop up and you need a quick go to costume. These days, it helps to be able to save a few bucks. If you are like me, you don't even like dressing up. A few years back, I was able to attend a Halloween party at Kid Rock's place. Costumes were mandatory. I went a really cheap route. Kenny Powers.

Eastbound and Down was a hot show. I ordered a cheap t-shirt, grabbed my ball glove, and put in a mullet wig. Kenny Powers was a solid choice and went over pretty well. I believe it set me back less than $25.
