It was announced earlier this morning by Mayor Andy Schor, the city of Lansing won't sell the Lansing City Market, but now what will happen?

Mayor Schor described how the Lansing City Market would be staying but probably not continuing in its current form. The Lansing City Market has been in downtown Lansing for over 100 years so it's difficult to get rid of it. Mayor Schor also said that the city will come up with other ideas for the space, but clearly due to public response no one wants to lose the City Market.

The City of Lansing spend about $80,000 from the city budget keeping the City Market open so if you have any ideas for the space or how to improve it, Lansing is looking for it. You can see more on this announcement here.
