The Lansing Riverfront Park is going to be getting a huge makeover and now businesses and community groups get behind the funding.

It was just announced this past weekend from LSJ, that the Lansing Rotary Club is going to pledge $400,000 to get naming rights of the new makeover park. The new "Rotary" park has plans to include renovating the plaza outside the City Market, adding seating and building a sand pit.

In addition, Auto Owners Insurance is going to throw down $75,000 for a “lighted forest”, which will light up the trees all over the park giving a cool feel at night. Also Team Lansing Foundation and Gillespie Group will split the sponsorship of a concert and event site under the Shiawassee Street Bridge, called "The HUB".
