The Lansing Lugnuts have announced that they will honor Olympic bronze medalist Taylor Manson before Friday night's game (August 13th) against the Dayton Dragons.  She will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Manson (pictured in USA uniform, center) was part of the United States 4 X 400 Mixed Relay Track team that took the bronze medal at the recently completed Tokyo Summer Olympics in Japan.

Taylor was an all-state standout in track and field at East Lansing HS before heading to the University of Florida where she was an All-American this past school year.  She was the state champion in the 400 meters for East Lansing HS back in 2017.

She did not qualify for the 400-meter sprint during the U.S. Olympic Trials but made the mixed relay by qualifying for the women's finals at the Trials in Eugene, Oregon.
