I guess it's true that that we are all Irish on St. Patrick's Day, and who doesn't like green beer. It's such a fun day. I used to love going to Downtown Chicago, have a few cold ones, and see the Chicago river, which the City dyes green every year.  We all have our traditions on this fun holiday.

Things of course are different this year, just like the last 12 months. Nothing has been normal these days. A few years ago, folks would be up and down the sidewalks in East Lansing on Saint Patrick's Day, basically doing something I would never do, and that is waiting in line to get into a bar.  There are too many of them to be wasting my time like that. But I guess when you younger you don't mind as much.

On Tuesday, the City Council unanimously approved a measure that outlaws lines for the holiday says fox47news.com.

We just put the rule in place to make sure that we kind of have all our ducks in a row ahead of what’s usually a really busy day in East Lansing,” said East Lansing Mayor Aaron Stephens. The temporary order prohibits lines outside of bars and requires people to make reservations to go inside.

Here is the deal, It goes in effect at 12:01 a.m. on March 17 and runs until 2 a.m. March 18th.  I say let's follow the rules , have a good time, and get through it this year.  I am hearing, and the President just said this, we should see a lot more normal by July 4th. Good days ahead kids.  Happy St. Patrick's Day.
