Juice WRLD Reportedly Swallowed ‘Several Percocet Pills’ Shortly Before His Death
On Sunday (December 8), Juice WRLD tragically and unexpectedly died after suffering from a fatal seizure at Midway Airport in his hometown of Chicago. Though his official cause of death has yet to be revealed, we may know what contributed to his passing.
As TMZ reports, the rapper was seen swallowing a bunch of painkillers shortly before his death in an attempt to hide them from the feds. The pilot flying his private jet from Los Angeles to Chicago notified authorities that he and his entourage had guns onboard, and when they landed the FBI and FAA were waiting for them. A source told the outlet that at some point between the plane landing and the feds' search of the aircraft the "Lucid Dreams" singer swallowed "several Percocet pills," which may have led to his death.
An autopsy was done on Monday (December 9), but the coroner has to run additional tests including toxicology, cardiac pathology and neuropathology before determining an official cause of death.
Medics spent 40 minutes tending to the young rising star. He was transported to a local hospital at 2:55am, and upon his arrival at 3:06am doctors pronounced him dead. He was just 21 years old.
Aside from three firearms, authorities also seized 70 pounds of marijuana, which was allegedly found vacuum-sealed in several pieces of luggage on the plane.
