The Jerome Country Market is a meat shop and deer processing plant that takes advantage of deer season with outdoor statues and the "buck pole."

Driving by 8985 E. Chicago Road north of Jerome, you'll notice the 20-foot buck leaping buck...this is where you need to stop to check out the "buck pole."

In the off-season, the rack is adorned with fake deer carcasses, in a display that shows what to expect when deer season arrives. Once deer season hits, deer hunters from all around the area bring their catches to the shop, in hopes to get 'em displayed.

If you're not a hunter, you may wanna stop by anyway for some photos or to enjoy the market. It's a kitschy little stop to add to any Michigan roadtrip, regardless of the season! (And don't miss the little piggy chef standing outside!)
