Last night, the 2014 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards assembled some of kids' and teens' favorite stars as part of their annual slime-fest tradition. Winning this year for "Favorite TV Show" was Nick's own 'Sam & Cat' series starring Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande, respectively. As Grande walked up on stage to accept the award for the show, people couldn't help but ponder: Where's Sam?

McCurdy took to Twitter to explain why she didn't show up at the awards last night and it seems it may be due to some disagreements with the network responsible for her show. She wrote to her fans:

"A lot of you guys are asking why I didn't attend the KCAs.... I wish I could explain everything as thoroughly as I would like to, but unfortunately a simpler explanation is all I can write. I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you."

Many guessed that it had to do with the provocative pictures of McCurdy that leaked in early March, but McCurdy insists that's not true, adding on Twitter, "My previous tweet has nothing to do with pics leaked. oh you guys lol. It has to do with how nickelodeon treated me. That's all. Thanks for the love. <3."

We're not sure how this affects McCurdy's future at Nickelodeon since she has been one of their most beloved stars since her 'iCarly' days back in 2007, but we wish her the best.
