Jackson Names New Director of Police and Fire Services

Elmer Hitt, Jackson's Deputy Police Chief, is now the city's new Director of Police and Fire Services.  WLNS-TV reports Hitt has been an officer since 1996, rising through the ranks, until recently serving as interim Director of Police and Fire Services following the retirement of Matthew Heins.
