One of Michigan’s Top Ski Resort Vies for the Title of Best in the Nation

Being a prime destination for those who love the snow, it's no surprise that one of Michigan's amazing ski resorts is getting some love on a national level for being the best in the game. USA Today has narrowed it down to the "20 Best Ski Resorts"  in the country and is ready to name the very best, and one of our own is in the running.

"To help you plan that perfect ski vacation, a panel of ski experts has nominated 20 ski resorts, selected as the best because they offer mountains with serious snowfall, varied terrain, lots of lift access, and so much more", USA Today said. 

In the running to be named the Best Ski Resort in America on USA Today's 10Best list is the crown jewel of the Upper Peninsula, Mount Bohemia. Located in Lac La Belle, this incredible resort is known for being more for advanced skiers only, with its steep slopes, several exposed rock formations, and terrain that's often ungroomed. USA Today said;

"Powder skiing in the Midwest? That's the promise from Mount Bohemia, where lake effect snow in Michigan's Upper Peninsula averages 273 inches a season and tends toward the light, fluffy stuff that skiers further west adore. In addition to having the longest runs and most vertical drop of any ski area in the Midwest, Mount Bohemia features open runs, glades, and chutes — all with natural conditions since the resort doesn't groom any of its trails".

With ski sections with names like Haunted Valley, Extreme Backcountry, and The Graveyard, it's clear this is one unique resort.
