Another Michigan Restaurant Jumps on the $5 Meal Deal Bandwagon
Fast food customers have hit a breaking point. While the price of eating out has forced many people to opt for eating at home, some fast food chains have begun offering $5 meal deals to lure customers back into their restaurants.
Today, another Michigan chain is jumping on the $5 bandwagon, joining McDonald's, Burger King, and Denny's - offering limited-time deals on cheap-eats deals.
All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes
IHOP hopes it can find a way to bring customers back into its restaurants with a $5 all-you-can-eat deal, now through the middle of September.

There are more than two dozen IHOP locations in Michigan, and each one is offering the deal for dine-in customers only. Now through September 15, those who choose to partake in the promotion get a stack of five buttermilk pancakes for $5. If that doesn't quite fill you up, they'll keep bringing them out, two at a time.
In a news release to CBS, the chain noted that they typically serve up the all-you-can-eat deal at the beginning of each year, but decided to roll it out at the beginning of the back-to-school season "to help families when schedules are tight, and wallets are pinched from shopping."
Cutting Back on Fast Food
The news outlet also noted that a Revenue Management Solutions poll conducted earlier this year found that 25% of people making under $50,000 per year are cutting back on fast food, primarily because of rising costs.
Many chains like Outback Steakhouse and Red Lobster are closing restaurants here in Michigan due to decreased profitability.
