Lansing’s New Social Shift Has Something Happening Every Night at One North
We've all had that Pure Michigan moment of politeness where we run into a friend we don't see too often in the grocery store, and you both end up saying, "we should get together sometime". But, no one ends up planning anything... I think we've all been there before.
What Is The Social Shift?
If you've ever been in this boat, or maybe you're a parent looking for a fun night out where someone else takes planning off your plate, you should check out The Social Shift in Lansing.
The Social Shift is a brand new initiative from One North that offers a different social experience every night. Sure, plenty of places host karaoke or trivia once a week—or even once a month—but The Social Shift has something happening every night.
Here's What's Happening Every Night of the Week
- Sunday - Sunday Night Tea: A reality show watch party (currently watching Love Island)
- Monday - Crime & Cocktails: If you love a good murder mystery, this night is for you to enjoy a self-guided experience
- Tuesday - Crafts & Drafts: Enjoy a craft (bring your own or you can buy one there) and draft beer specials
- Wednesday - Wine Down Wednesdays: This night is filled with half off bottles of wine for the wine enthusiasts and adult board games
- Thursday - Themed Trivia: Put together a group of your smartest friends to try and win different themed trivia nights
- Friday - Social Shift Live: You can expect live music and food and drink specials
- Saturday - Saturday Soundtrack: There will be a mix of live music and DJ entertainment
Every night also includes different food and drink specials.

As a Millennial parent of a toddler with an early schedule, I really appreciated what they had to say about the time of going out: "The Social Shift isn't about staying out late. It's about getting out together," and I wholeheartedly agree!
What Time Does The Social Shift Happen?
If you want to go out and enjoy yourself, you can head to One North in Lansing on Fridays from 8 to 11 pm, Saturdays from 7 to 11 pm, and Sundays through Thursdays from 8 to 10 pm.
