Michiganders waited in line for hours to check out the very first of this convenience store in the Mitten State. Some people even got there hours before opening and camped out... which just goes to show how excited people are for this convenience store to come to town.

Hailing all the way from Pennsylvania, Sheetz, a restaurant and convenience with an insanely popular following has opened its first location in Romulus, Michigan, approximately five miles from the Detroit Airport.

Sheetz Opens First Michigan Location

Sheetz first announced that it would be adding Michigan to its list of locations back in December of 2022. Now, less than two years later, Sheetz celebrated its grand opening.

Not only is Sheetz a gas station, it's a convenience store, and it serves up a pretty large menu of made-to-order food like shakes, smoothies, fries, pizza, chicken, and more. Plus, it's open 24/7 365 days a year.

I also love that the Sheetz website boasts the "cleanest public restroom, EVER", because we all need clean restrooms on road trips.
