People collect lots of different things. Pressed pennies, shot glasses, magnets, Pyrex bowls... you name it. Perhaps one of the hottest collectibles right now is trading cards.

If you head to Old Town Lansing, you'll find Old Town Card Spot, which celebrated its grand opening on Wednesday, June 3.

More Than Just a Trading Card Shop

When you head inside, it's much more than a trading card store; it's more of a men's boutique plus a hobby and trading card store. When I spoke to the owner, Doyle, he said he liked to call it Valhalla.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with all manner of cooking spices, BBQ sauces, golf polos, sports memorabilia, movie posters, art, men's body and beard products, and more!

This place seems like the kind of spot you would come to find dad a fun and unique Father's Day gift.

Where to Find Old Town Card Spot

You can definitely do some shopping while you're there, but the cards seemed to be the main attractions. There were people placing bets on which cards they might pull from newly opened packs. Doyle also plans on hosting unboxing events and more. Card collectors and enthusiasts should check out Old Town Card Spot, where you can buy, sell, and trade cards. It's located at 108 E. César E. Chávez Ave. in Old Town.

If you're looking for a way to enjoy some gorgeous Michigan weather in Lansing, I would highly recommend the Shigematsu Japanese Garden and Koi Pond by Lansing Community College near Downtown. It's a quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous spot to eat your lunch, take in the views, and feed the fish for a quarter. Take a peek inside this hidden gem of Lansing.

Lansing Restaurants That Should Be Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

The Lansing restaurants listed below are gems of the city. If you haven't been to all of them yet, add them to your list. We think Guy Fieri should add them to his list as well so he can feature them the next time he comes back to Lansing for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
