Is Your Ex a Worm? Feed ‘Em to a Chicken for Rescue Farm Animals
Let's face it. Valentine's Day isn't the same for all of us.
It's intended to be a day to celebrate couples in love - flowers and candy and jewelry and fancy dinners out on the town.
Well, a Michigan farm animal sanctuary has an upcoming benefit planned that speaks to those of us who may not have the same lovey-dovey opinions of Valentine's Day.
About Mitten Misfits Farm Sanctuary
Mitten Misfits Farm Sanctuary in Grand Ledge, Michigan, is a home for rescue farm animals. The sanctuary's founders care for dozens of senior at-risk farm animals, along with the help of more than 80 registered volunteers.

As you can imagine, it takes money to make all this happen. And that's where a creative Valentine's Day-related fundraiser for Mitten Misfits comes into play.
The Mitten Misfits "When Love Stinks" Fundraiser
Organizers are hoping that their "When Love Stinks" fundraiser will help raise needed funds to help Mitten Misfits.

"Is your ex a worm? Have an energy-draining friend?" reads a poster for the fundraiser, planned at Mitten Misfits on Saturday, February 15, 2025. "Make a donation and personally name a mealworm and feed it to a chicken!"

Yeah, that's right. Plop down a few bucks, name a mealworm after your ex or anyone else who's wronged you or is just annoying - then watch a hungry rescue chicken devour it in just a few seconds.
A harmless way to get some sadistic satisfaction in your lackluster love life, and at the same time, help some animals who need it.
