While Lansing has definitely seen some growth when it comes to restaurants opening—an astounding 28 eateries in the last six months—sadly it has also seen some loss.

Restaurant closures aren’t new, but it still stings every time a favorite spot shuts its doors for good.

BlackDog Coffee

BlackDog Coffee was located in Eaton Rapids and closed in mid-February. That location is now home to Foster Coffee.

Cakes-A-Bloomin'

Cakes-A-Bloomin' was in Lansing for more than 20 years before it closed this past spring.

Eato Chef

Eato Chef was a popular Lansing food truck that was set up in the Horrocks parking lot. Eato Chef moved to Florida near the end of March.

Handie

Handie was located in East Lansing and served African-inspired fast-casual food. It closed in early April.

Sir Pizza
